As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol Driver Full-Time in SAINT HELENA, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to campus community members and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Perform unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas as applicable, dining and event spaces, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor and assist with access control at designated entrances, checking identification, directing foot traffic, and supporting visitor sign-in procedures per site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical calls, suspicious activity, and policy violations, and request additional resources when needed.
- Observe, document, and report unusual conditions, policy concerns, and security-related incidents using written reports, log entries, and/or electronic reporting tools.
- Provide directions and general assistance to students, faculty, staff, and guests, including wayfinding, event support, and locating campus resources.
- Conduct building checks such as doors, gates, and common areas, and report unsecured openings, propped doors, and malfunctioning hardware.
- Support alarm and/or access system responses by investigating activated points, coordinating with site contacts, and documenting outcomes.
- Assist with crowd management and traffic control during campus events, deliveries, peak class transitions, and special programs as assigned.
- Perform escorts for staff, faculty, students, and/or visitors when requested and authorized, following site procedures.
- Maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly via radio and/or phone, and coordinate with site representatives and local emergency services when appropriate.
- Follow post orders, comply with Allied Universal policies, and participate in required training and briefings related to campus procedures and emergency response.
Minimum Requirements: - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
