Job Description




As a Security Officer -Healthcare Annex Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication, report concerns, and partner with site teams to keep operations running smoothly. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and direct visitors to appropriate destinations while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or medical facility policy violations, and request additional support as needed.
  • Observe and report conditions that may affect operations, including equipment issues, hazards, and/or unauthorized persons, and communicate findings to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in a government location setting.
  • Assist with crowd management and orderly movement in high-traffic areas such as lobbies, waiting areas, and/or entrances during peak periods or special events.
  • Participate in drills, briefings, and post orders training, and follow direction from site management and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related priorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
