Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for a State Office in Greenfield MA

Monday, Tuesday and Friday 8 AM - 6 PM

Starting Pay is $25.88 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training

Candidate is Required to Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Security/Law Experience

As a Security Officer in Greenfield, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support access control, and provide customer service to staff and visitors. This post requires carrying under a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit while working with an agile, reliable team that leads with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken and notifying the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facilities and surrounding grounds, including exterior perimeters, parking areas, and designated public access points.
  • Monitor and control access at designated entrances, verifying identification and/or authorization in accordance with site-specific post orders.
  • Operate and monitor security-related equipment and systems such as CCTV, radios, alarms, access control systems, and visitor management tools as applicable to the location.
  • Perform security-related screening and visual inspections as directed by post orders, and report prohibited items or suspicious activity through the proper chain of command.
  • Maintain a high level of readiness while on post, properly carrying and handling assigned equipment in compliance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.
  • Provide escort support for employees, contractors, and/or visitors when requested and authorized, including during after-hours operations.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs with clear, timely, and accurate details.
  • Coordinate with local public agencies and site representatives during service calls, emergency response activities, traffic disruptions, and/or facility closures as directed by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
