What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site staff, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating to the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, studios, data and equipment areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access control points, validate identification and/or credentials when required, and manage visitor sign-in and badge issuance per site policy.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and other security-related systems, initiating response actions and/or notifications in accordance with post orders.
  • Complete routine reporting such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, maintaining accurate logs of patrols, access activity, and unusual conditions.
  • Support site emergency procedures including evacuations, severe weather response, and medical calls, coordinating with on-site teams and/or first responders when requested.
  • Maintain a professional presence and provide directions and information to visitors and employees while enforcing site rules related to restricted areas and after-hours access.
  • Perform inspections for unsecured doors, propped access points, and other conditions that could impact operations, reporting maintenance and/or facility concerns to the appropriate contact.
  • Participate in required training and briefings, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific policies, post orders, and reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
