You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor badging. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, hangars, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, following visitor management procedures, and directing guests and contractors to the appropriate locations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions according to site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and/or disruptive behavior, and escalate to emergency services when required.
  • Complete routine patrol and incident reports, log book entries, and shift turnover communications in a clear and timely manner.
  • Perform screening and inspection duties when assigned, including checking identification, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with site policies and applicable regulations.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management, site representatives, and/or local responders to coordinate incident response and maintain continuity of operations.
  • Support protection of controlled areas by following posted instructions, maintaining post orders, and reporting policy violations through the appropriate channels.
  • Operate in varied indoor and outdoor environments, including walking and standing for extended periods in industrial and aircraft-adjacent areas, as required by the post assignment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
