As a Security Officer Logistics Perimeter Patrol PT in Mount Pocono, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol yards, docks, and building areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document observations with clear reports. You will greet drivers and team members with strong customer service, communicate concerns promptly, and support an agile, reliable, and innovative operation where teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture come first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the freight terminal, dock areas, yard, parking lots, and building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points for employees, drivers, and vendors, including checking identification and directing traffic flow in accordance with site procedures.
  • Perform security-related rounds of trailers, gates, and loading areas, noting open doors, damaged seals, unsecured equipment, and other irregular conditions, and reporting findings per protocol.
  • Observe inbound and outbound truck and trailer movements and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disturbances, and property damage reports as directed.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems as assigned, such as cameras, alarms, and communication devices, and communicate clearly via radio and phone.
  • Complete detailed, accurate reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and noteworthy events before the end of shift.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with orderly queuing of drivers and visitors when needed.
  • Maintain a professional, approachable presence while enforcing site rules consistently and escalating issues through the proper chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
