What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the facility by monitoring entrances, verifying identification where required, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor alarm panels, cameras, and other security-related systems; identify unusual activity and report observations according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, and fire-related alarms, and request assistance as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, office areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Provide a visible presence near customer-facing areas such as teller lines, ATM areas, and vestibules, and support staff with security-related concerns as directed by site procedures.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports, including incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, with clear, factual information.
  • Communicate professionally with client staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders when required, and assist with scene control until relieved.
  • Support key control and access badge processes as assigned, including tracking issued items and reporting discrepancies.
  • Follow Allied Universal and site-specific policies for confidentiality and handling of sensitive information encountered while on post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ years of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
