Job Description




As a Security Guard - Resort Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol guest areas, entrances, and parking spaces, helping to identify and report security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage unwanted activity, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication with guests, staff, and local responders. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel and resort location.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout guest areas, back-of-house spaces, amenities, parking areas, and the property perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Control access to designated areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and verify credentials when required by site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other property systems when assigned, and report irregularities to management and/or appropriate responders.
  • Document incidents, patrol activity, and service calls in written reports and/or electronic logs, and notify supervisors and/or site contacts as required.
  • Provide assistance with lost and found matters, guest directions, and other service-related requests, while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support crowd management for events, pool areas, and other high-traffic amenities, helping to maintain orderly conditions and reporting issues to site leadership.
  • Conduct initial assessments of hazards such as spills, broken fixtures, and/or blocked egress, and report maintenance needs to the appropriate contact per site procedure.
  • Coordinate with local responders and/or property staff during medical calls, fire alarms, and other emergencies, supporting scene management until relieved.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
