Shift:

Shift FB C: The regular hours for this position are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday from 7:00am to 7:15pm.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic Facilities Technician to support our newly acquired Farmer's Branch, TX semiconductor fabrication plant. This role is critical to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical, electrical, and process utility systems that enable continuous fab operations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced in cleanroom or industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations & Monitoring: Operate, monitor, and maintain facility systems including cleanroom/HVAC, ultrapure/deionized water (DIW), wastewater treatment, compressed air, process gases, chilled/hot water, vacuum systems, exhaust/abatement, and electrical distribution.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, PMs, calibration, and component replacements; maintain equipment health using CMMS and documented PM plans.

  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose system irregularities; execute corrective actions and repairs to restore service and prevent recurrence.

  • Alarm & Emergency Response: Respond promptly to alarms, upsets, and emergency situations; coordinate with engineering, operations, and EHS; follow escalation and incident reporting protocols.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate shift logs, operating parameters, maintenance records, work orders, and change management documentation.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with FormFactor safety, quality, and environmental standards and applicable regulations (OSHA, TCEQ, EPA, City of Farmer's Branch).

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and vendors on upgrades, shutdowns, repairs, and projects; support parts/equipment readiness.

  • Commissioning/Decommissioning: Support startup, commissioning, decommissioning, and qualification activities for new or upgraded equipment, including test plans and checklists.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify reliability risks, propose improvements (procedures, spares, PM intervals), and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA).

  • Shift Participation: Work a rotating schedule; provide clear handoffs across shifts; participate in oncall rotation as needed.
