The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of substation orders from contract award through order completion. This role is responsible for coordinating engineering, manufacturing, logistics, scheduling and commercial stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on schedule. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role. This is an onsite position, and our ideal candidate would reside within commuting distance to one of our service centers in Solomon, KS, Sharon, PA or Temple, TX.



  • Manage end-to-end execution of substation orders; including engineering, inventory, manufacturing and delivery
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams including: sales, engineering, operations, transportation and scheduling
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned with manufacturing lead times, as well as materials and parts lead times
  • Coordinate with engineering teams on design reviews, drawings, specifications, and approvals
  • Track and manage customer repair workstream; to include pickup, evaluation, quotation, customer decision and disposition
  • Track and manage project status, job closure, invoicing and change orders
  • Identify project risks related to supply chain, manufacturing and inventory readiness; implement mitigation plans
  • Coordinate factory acceptance tests (FAT) with customer and internal teams
  • Ensure accurate project documentation, reporting, and closeout deliverables
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • HS diploma/GED required.
  • A degree in a business related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years' experience in scheduling and planning in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Basic MS Office applications, with emphasis on spreadsheet analysis required.
  • Scheduling software experience preferred.
  • ERP systems (Syspro, SAP, etc.) experience required.
  • Proven track record in safety excellence is required.
  • Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders. (Expand identify errors and correct)
  • Process work orders in a timely fashion to meet corporate and customer deadlines
  • Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.

  • Complete company compliance and safety training when required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Physical requirements for this role include but are not limited to the following:
    • Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time while operating a computer with occasional light lifting.
    • Regular visits to the production facility and engaging with operations team.
