DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for patrolling the buildings and grounds to ensure the protection of our property, facilities, and residents from potential threats such as fire, theft, trespassing, or other safety risks. Your duties will include checking door locks for offices, storage areas, laundry, maintenance, and garage spaces. You will also manage traffic flow and parking, ensuring adherence to facility rules and regulations regarding motor vehicles. You will prevent unauthorized individuals from loitering on the premises or accessing restricted areas. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential as you assist visitors, residents, and staff, answering phones, providing directions, and offering helpful information. Additionally, your organizational skills and attention to detail will be key in completing daily activity reports at the end of each shift.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM), rotating days and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Travel and overtime: As needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirement:
- You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
