Registered Nurse Emergency Department Full Time 87601BR Job Summary Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $93.47 - $121.11 (Hourly Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html Department Description The Emergency Department at UCSF Medical Center provides care to patients with urgent medical conditions ranging from complex problems such as heart attacks and strokes to simple but pressing conditions such as cuts and broken bones. Care is provided 24 hours a day, serving more than 40,000 patients a year. Our team includes board-certified emergency medicine specialists, nurses trained in emergency and critical care and other specialists who are called upon as needed in areas such as gynecology, neurology, obstetrics, orthopedics, pediatrics and surgery. Required Qualifications At least 3 years of recent RN experience in an Emergency Department (not in a floating capacity) Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. Current healthcare provider CPR certification Current healthcare provider PALS certification Current healthcare provider ACLS certification This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. Preferred Qualifications CEN TNCC OR ATCN NIHSS BSN License/Certification Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
