APP ( NP or PA) - Family Medicine - Rocky Mount

Carilion Clinic is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join Carilion Family Medicine - Rocky Mount. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff in delivering high-quality primary care to a diverse patient population.

The APP will assist physicians and nursing personnel in providing comprehensive primary health care services. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, and providing care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

• Performing patient examinations and documenting appropriate clinical information

• Reviewing diagnostic reports and making care recommendations

• Managing medication refills and treatment plans

• Delivering patient-centered care in a collaborative team environment

Preferred: Minimum of 2 years' experience independently evaluating and treating patients.

Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Experience: 0

Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.

Minimum qualifications: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
