The Position
2026 Summer Intern - Research Pathology; Histopathology Department Summary This position is embedded within the Pathology Core labs of the Genentech Research Pathology. Department and is focused on development and application of tissue based procedures and imaging protocols. The successful candidate will provide scientific and technical expertise for optimizing the highly complex process of creating and data entry and extraction for Tissue Micro Arrays (TMA) histopathology assays to support research scientists and pathologists who discover and develop drugs for the treatment of cancer, autoimmune diseases, metabolic diseases, ocular and neurological diseases. The Core labs at Genentech are state-of-the art labs equipped with novel technologies and automated platforms, and develops techniques primarily for discovery research using both standard and internally developed methodologies. Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location ofCalifornia is $45.00-$50.00 hour.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
