Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri is seeking full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join our growing and collaborative academic psychiatry team.

Clinical opportunities are available across multiple settings, including our outpatient Child Psychiatry Clinic, and several innovative programs such as DYS Tele-Psych and Bridge, our school-based mental health program. These roles offer flexibility to tailor clinical responsibilities to individual interests, with opportunities for inpatient, outpatient, or blended practice models.

The department strongly supports and encourages teaching and scholarly activity. Faculty work closely with medical students, residents, and fellows, with protected opportunities for education and research. Leadership opportunities are also available, including the potential to serve in academic and programmatic leadership roles aligned with departmental needs and interests.

The Department of Psychiatry is committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research, and provides a comprehensive continuum of services. These include inpatient psychiatric care at the University of Missouri Psychiatric Center, 24/7 emergency and hospital-based consultation services, and a full range of outpatient adult and child psychiatry services. Additional information about the department can be found at https://medicine.missouri.edu/departments/psychiatry/
