We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist II to step into a clinical leadership role within our rehabilitation team. This position plays a key part in shaping highquality, evidencebased care by guiding the development of advanced patient assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions. As a senior clinician, you will help set the tone for clinical excellence and support the continued growth of our therapy programs. In addition to direct patient care, this role serves as a preceptor for new hires and a mentor for residents and fellow clinicians, helping onboard new team members, strengthen clinical reasoning, and foster a collaborative learning environment.

We are seeking a clinician with strong safe patient handling skills and confidence working with moderate-to high-acuity patient populations. A significant portion of our caseload involves neurorehabilitation, so experience or a strong interest in neurorehab is highly valued. Ideal candidates demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional, patientcentered care.

This position follows a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, with eighthour shifts that support continuity of care and worklife balance. Clinicians participate in one weekend shift every four weeks and two holiday shifts per year, both assigned on a predictable rotation to ensure fairness across the team.

Our clinic is accredited in stroke, spinal cord injury, and cancer rehabilitation, reflecting our commitment to excellence in specialty care. We are actively working toward additional accreditations in amputee rehabilitation and traumatic brain injury, offering clinicians the opportunity to work with diverse and highly specialized patient populations.

Responsibilities:
1. Diagnostic Testing : Administer basic & complex diagnostic testing and evaluations in the area of Occupational Therapy. Performs as an expert in this competency area, providing specialty education at the graduate and doctoral levels as appropriate.

2. Education: Teaches & supervises graduate Occupational Therapy students, fellows and residents . Develops or contributes to innovative programs to enhance patient care. Serves as resource consultant to other clinicians in respective specialty area. Provides specialty education at the graduate and doctoral levels as appropriate. Acts as clinical trainer for new employees hired into department as needed. Provides clinical supervision and teaching for multiple students and/or staff. Plans orientation, caseload, and other learning activities. Provides regular feedback and coaching.

3. Evaluation of Care: Analyzes results of diagnostic and or therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and or modify subsequent treatment programs. Identifies expected patient outcomes. Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care. Performs as an expert in this competency area, providing specialty education at the graduate and doctoral levels as appropriate.

4. Implementation: Selects and applies advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient rehabilitative services. Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs. Performs as an expert in this competency area, providing specialty education at the graduate and doctoral levels as appropriate.

5. Outreach/Community Involvement: Serve as consultant to North Carolina government departments and statewide health professionals in specialty areas. Presents at state or national conferences, participates in community health screening and events. Develops new clinical programs to meet emerging needs.

6. Participation: Contributes to quality of clinical services through attendance and participation in departmental meetings and inservices. Attends staff meetings, huddles etc. and consistently contributes to relevant discussions, acting to lead meetings as needed.

Education Requirements:
* Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
Professional Experience Requirements:
* Five (5) years of occupational therapy experience including one (1) year in the specialty field of work to which assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
* Advanced level clinical skills as evidenced by specialty certifications, additional training and/or expertise in a given clinical specialty.
* Exhibits effective communication and interprofessional skills; requires physical stamina and repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, walking, and squatting during patient interventions while supporting one's weight; can engage in high-level problem-solving to ensure patient safety during mobilization.
