Position(s) I am Applying for
Pre-Law Fellow (International Trade and Export Controls) The DC office has an opening for a full-time Pre-Law Fellow to support our export controls and economic sanctions practice. This position requires a two-year commitment and is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate considering a career in law with a particular interest in international law. A start date in June 2026 is preferred.
The Pre-Law Fellow is a two-year position designed for recent college graduates who are considering and/or planning on attending law school. Fellows gain a well-rounded experience through assisting lawyers and others by performing tasks in support of specific matters and practice groups including substantive legal work as well as research, business development efforts, and support of the firm's business professional services.
Pre-Law Fellows take part in enrichment programs designed to provide broad exposures to the legal practice as well as prepare them for the law school application process.
Essential Functions
Substantive responsibilities may include:
* Monitoring international legal developments * Assisting lawyers with research and writing of advisories and articles relating to the international regulatory compliance area. * Conducting due diligence and background research. * Preparing presentations and materials for external outreach. * Creating, organizing and maintaining exhibits and submissions for client matters. * Updating and maintaining databases relating to international legal developments. * File review and organization; prepare and publish current items of interest to clients; preparation of client proposals. * Gather and obtain records or other information from various sources including government agencies, libraries, legislative bodies, associations, and courts. * Coordinate and monitor tasks based on priorities, ensuring adherence to set timelines and deadlines. * Prepare and submit time entries on a daily basis, and other firm accounting documentation, as required, and in accordance with established Firm policy. * Provide coverage when paralegals are unavailable. Minimum Qualification *
Four-year year college degree required. International Relations or similar degree, and minimum overall GPA of 3.5 preferred.

* Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule * Available to work in the office 9:00 - 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. * Extra weekday and weekend hours may be required for special programs or events * Must be available to work beyond regular hours when necessary * Must be able to work under tight deadlines and stressful situations * Must be willing to travel as required, on short or extremely limited notice, to various firm offices, courthouses, or other locations in support of the firm's clients The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000. The actual base salary offered will be dependent upon the applicant's experience and qualifications, as well as other job-related factors, including but not limited to, relevant skills, education, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, geographic location.
