Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Training Specialist supporting TOS II, at AEDC in TN. The Training Specialist will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

The Training Administrator / Specialist will support the Training function performing a broad range of administrative and technical tasks to develop and maintain systems and processes while leveraging effective communication skills and working relationships with management and employees across the mission areas.

Job Duties:

    Performs broad range of administrative and technical tasks in support of the Training Branch.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers computer-based training courses on a wide variety of subjects using industry standard techniques and providing technical elements to build a complete training package which includes but is not limited to photography, research, course scripts, video, simulations, and voice

recording.

  • Responsible for the development, revision, and maintenance of Workforce Qualification, Safety, and

other training in coordination with the Training Branch Manager and identified teams, Subject

Matter Experts (SMEs), and managers across the mission areas to meet training requirements

and needs.

  • Ensures training courses meet applicable AEDC standards and requirements.
  • Translates complex technical concepts into easily digestible content & curriculum, creating a variety of learning materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led classroom materials, facilitator guides, & participant workbooks.
  • Manages multiple projects/tasks simultaneously in an organized manner.
  • Facilitates, leads, & delivers training courses and deploys training content on a variety of topics in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Maintains Training systems and processes and supports methods to improve Training services with a focus on quality, continuous improvement, and customer service.
  • Evaluates and implements training software, systems, and tools to meet the learning and development needs of the workforce and makes informed recommendations with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and modernization.
  • Coordinates with Instructors, SMEs, Managers, & vendors to schedule and facilitate both in-person and virtual classroom sessions.
  • Develops, writes, revises, and implements technical training materials, processes, plans, and procedures.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members to meet mission needs and deadlines.
  • Analyzes learning needs and develops and designs training content to meet those needs.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills across the mission areas.
  • Maintains Workforce Qualification database and training systems through regular auditing, tracking,

reporting, and input of Workforce Qualification data and other project milestones.

  • Monitors training progress of workforce qualifications, learning paths, etc.
  • Performs learning application administrator functions for all training systems and applications.
  • Coordinates use of software applications and other technology utilized in the delivery of training (Webinars, Microsoft Teams, Training area equipment, etc.).
  • Reviews, modifies, and deploys training packages and materials on a scheduled basis.
  • Communicates effectively across the mission area with all levels of personnel.
  • Assists with required internal and/or external audits and assessments.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in

accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or other related field plus five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with Learning Management Systems, authoring software, and databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in Education Methodology implementing modern strategies.
  • Possesses critical, independent thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in preparation of written communications, oral presentations, and technical writing.
  • Demonstrated experience in instructional system design.
  • Skilled in developing and using reporting tools and managing and analyzing data, including utilization of software programs such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work within assigned teams with limited supervision, exercise sound, independent judgement

and decision-making, take initiative to resolve issues, adapt to evolving environments, problem-solve, and support team success across the company.

  • Must possess skills regarding the application of standard training techniques, processes, procedures, and criteria in carrying out mission critical training-related tasks.
  • Skilled in evaluation and implementation of training systems and tools.
  • Experience in business enterprise information systems management, such as PeopleSoft, Oracle

WAM, and OBI.

  • Possesses ability to prioritize current and new work, managing both efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AEDC enterprise software applications (PeopleSoft,
  • OracleBI, Oracle WAM, etc.).
  • Experience with eLearning course development authoring software, such as Articulate, Captivate, or other.
  • Post-graduate coursework in K-12 or Adult Education preferred
