Planning Intern - Krusell Fellowship

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Planning Intern, you will learn practical on-the-job experience and spend the majority of your time assisting our planners with collecting and preparing data for a variety of projects. You will assist with community meetings, research activities, and other municipal, environmental and transportation planning projects. You will gain experience in the following areas:

• comprehensive plans
• land use analysis and impact
• community planning
• zoning ordinance development and administration
• corridor and small area plans
• communications and public engagement

What We Are Looking for:

• Degree Programs: Selected candidates will be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in urban planning, public policy, geography, public Administration or other closely related field from an accredited college.
• Minimum Cumulative GPA: 2.8 GPA; Desired GPA 3.2 or above
• This opportunity is for qualified students attending the University of Minnesota and who have applied for the Krusell Fellowship.
• Students must possess a valid driver's license and their own transportation or have ability to use public transportation. You will be reimbursed for business-related travel.

Hourly Range: $18.00 - $24.00/hr. depending on years of experience and credentials
