Expert Estimator (Exentec)

Exential is seeking an Expert Estimator to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This role is responsible for executing the full construction estimating process for processpiping projects while adhering to Exential's standardized procedures, methods, and best practices. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across project teams.

• Review project plans, specifications, and scopes to ensure complete and accurate estimates are provided.
• Identify project risks, constructability issues, and cost impacts.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Prepare and review bid packages, instructions to bidders, and internal budget pricing.
• Develop conceptual estimates with limited information.
• Review schedules, logistics plans, scopes of work, and related project documents.
• Document and maintain all bid information throughout the estimating process.
• Fill scope gaps and provide detailed cost breakouts for customers.
• Mentor junior estimators and support team development.
• Track construction and material cost trends to improve estimate accuracy.
• Analyze alternate methods to determine the most costeffective solutions.
• Build strong relationships with customers, design teams, contractors, and suppliers.
• Participate in project turnover and kickoff meetings for awarded projects.
• Assist in preparing proposal letters and evaluating estimating technologies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred
• 8+ years of experience in construction
• Prior experience in Mechanical or Process Piping Estimating is required
• Proficient in at least one commercially available estimating software system, EBM or Accubid
