The St. Olaf Rural Health Clinical Internship is designed for prehealth undergraduate students seeking exposure beyond traditional academic or classroom experiences. Interns will participate in a splitday immersion model, combining provider shadowing and clinical operations. The St. Olaf Rural Health Internship Program is full-time, 40 hours per week for 10 weeks starting June 2, 2026. The St. Olaf Rural Health Clinical Summer Internship Program is designed to provide prehealth undergraduate students with handson experience across diverse areas of the healthcare field. Interns gain exposure to patient care needs throughout the healthcare continuum, along with professional enrichment opportunities such as the A Day in the Life series, Enterprise Foundations programming, networking experiences, and meaningful connections within a student cohort. Primary Responsibilities As a Rural Health Clinical Intern, you will gain firsthand insight into rural healthcare delivery across diverse Louisiana communities. The internship deepens your understanding of clinical workflows, population health needs, and patient support models, while strengthening exposure to underserved and resourcelimited settings, informing future academic training and career decisions. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
