Overview

The person in this position is a multi-trade general facilities technician responsible for maintenance, repairs, and other property management related duties at assigned TEC Equipment facilities. This role acts as a lead on the facilities team, as directed by the Facilities Manager.

The support of the Facilities Technician to all employees and customers is key to the success of the entire team and allows branch employees to use their time to continue to create opportunities that result in strong, steady, and sustainable business growth with minimal impact from building repair and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities

    Fixing and repairing items indoor and outdoor on company property. Perform repairs to buildings, including HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and irrigation. Also performs repairs to fixtures and furniture.
  • General maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness in the organization to ensure that the facilities and equipment are in good working order at all times.
  • Performs landscaping duties to include mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, fertilizing, and spraying on company property, as required.
  • Performs preventive maintenance in all areas of the facilities.
  • Completes all maintenance/facilities requests as assigned and keeps Facilities Manager informed of progress.
  • Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
  • Alert the Facilities Manager of any unusual occurence and/or damage on the property.
  • Properly maintains all departmental equipment including vehicles, tools, and work equipment in clean, orderly and operational condition.
  • Writes routine reports and correspondence as needed, including expense related reporting.
  • Works cooperatively with other staff memner using a team approach. Acts as Facilities Department lead on projects as designated by the Facilities Manager.
  • Uses good safety practices at all times; applies all accident, fire safety, and/or emergency standards in complaince with all local, state and federal jurisdications and within TEC Equipment standards.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.


Qualifications

  • Must be dependable, able to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and work with minumum supervision
  • Adaptable to a changing work environment with new tasks and assignments and able to adapt instsruction from one assignment to another
  • Willingness to learn new skills to meet the needs of a growing company
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports, correspondence including expense related reporting and basic documentation
  • Ability to use various types of power tools, machinery and equipment while practicing and observing all safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally with others, including internal and external clients
  • Ability to remain calm, patient and professional during challenging situations
  • Adept at working with team members to seek the best possible solutions
  • Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance and work in a safe and alert manner
  • Valid driver's license and able to meet insurance requirements


Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $27.53 to $34.51.
