POSITION PURPOSE: North Wind General Contractors has an immediate opening for an onsite Quality Control Manager (QCM) to perform on a mid-size USACE bid-build construction project located in Fort Greely, AK. The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for managing and performing the daily QC responsibilities to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the established minimum standards and specifications. The QCM role includes direct oversight and review of project documentation; the physical inspection phase of the workflow process; and coordination with personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to provide and document a quality product. The QCM is responsible for submittals and daily QC reports using the USACE Resident Management System (RMS). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiar with the requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1, and experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. The position will include prolonged periods of sitting in order to perform administrative duties. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The position will require work to be performed indoors and outdoors. The employee will be exposed to various weather conditions. Other hazards include, but are not limited to working near heavy equipment, noise hazards, chemicals, cleaning products, asbestos, lead based paint, contaminated soils and road traffic.
