The Tesla Payments Team is revolutionizing customer payment experiences and internal financial operations. We collaborate cross-functionally with global product, engineering, and business teams to build scalable, innovative solutions that boost efficiency and delight customers. As a dynamic, impact-focused team, we're seeking a driven Product Manager to spearhead automation and scaling in cash reconciliation.

In this pivotal role, you'll lead the development of scalable services and processes to automate cash reconciliation across Tesla's financial and order systems. Working closely with engineering and financial operations teams, you'll drive operational efficiencies that accelerate quarter-end book closures, minimize accounts receivable (AR) exposure, and eliminate manual workflows-directly contributing to Tesla's agility and innovation.


What You'll Do
  • Design and implement scalable automations for cash postings and bank reconciliations, leveraging AI-driven approaches to enhance accuracy and speed
  • Collaborate with external banks, card networks, and financial partners to streamline offline payment processing and integration
  • Integrate with third-party lending partners to optimize payment allocation and reduce processing times
  • Partner with engineering and UX teams to architect robust, future-proof reconciliation systems that incorporate AI for predictive analytics and anomaly detection
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business impact, using data to inform iterative improvements

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including cash/bank posting processes, ledger management, and reconciliation best practices
  • An AI-first mindset: Approach every initiative with AI integration in mind, from automation workflows to intelligent decision-making tools
  • Deep data expertise, with SQL as a core skill for querying, analyzing, and deriving insights from complex datasets
  • Proven experience collaborating with full-stack engineering teams to deliver scalable technical solutions and adaptability to manage multiple projects and evolving priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, bridging technical and non-technical teams effectively
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action, demonstrated ability to launch initiatives with limited resources, and strong analytical problem-solving skills

    Expected Compensation
    $136,000 - $264,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
