Overview

LMI is actively seeking an experienced Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T) Specialist to provide Integrated Product Support (IPS) services in support of the Apache Attack Helicopter (AAH) Project Office (PO). This role contributes to the development, production, fielding, and sustainment of AH-64 Apache aircraft and associated systems for both United States Army (USA) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities.

The PHS&T Specialist ensures compliance with AH-64 technical manuals and facilitates the efficient and secure movement of materiel-via air, land, and sea transportation modes-to maximize readiness for mission success. As a dynamic contributor to the AAH PO, the ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, is adept at navigating ambiguity, and aligns technical implementation to mission objectives.

Responsibilities

    PHS&T Planning: Identify, plan, and recommend packaging, handling, storage, and transportation requirements to maximize usability and availability of materiel for training or missions.
  • On-site Movement Operations: Provide direct assistance at Redstone Arsenal and Ft. Cavazos to manage packaging and transportation procedures for worldwide movement operations of Apache aircraft units.
  • Compliance & Documentation Management: Execute procedures in accordance with AH-64 technical manuals and ensure accuracy in packaging, handling, and storage documentation and specifications.
  • Logistical Analysis: Perform analyses for transportability and portability of equipment while optimizing transportation modes and networks across all phases of the life cycle.
  • GFP Accountability: Execute and track Government Furnished Property (GFP) stored or moved in support of the AAH PO.
  • Secure Materiel Handling: Support the government with specialized handling, storage, and transportation of Communications Security (COMSEC) and Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI).


Qualifications

Required Skills and Expertise:

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of professional relevant experience, with at least 2+ years working with Army Aviation, Information Technology, system automation, or intelligent systems.
  • Proven ability to execute PHS&T procedures for mission-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with AH-64 technical manuals and transportation requirements for air, land, and sea modes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in tracking and managing GFP using Army Standard tools and approved government logistics software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance tied to Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines and Army-specific logistics systems, including Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army).
  • Analytical skills to identify and resolve transportability and portability issues as well as conduct network optimization for transportation.
  • Ability to handle COMSEC equipment alignment and compliance per Army and DoD standards.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Controlled Cryptographic Item (CCI) handling procedures.
  • Experience with Army supply chain systems, such as Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability (SMR) code implementation and National Stock Number (NSN) assignment.
  • Background in measuring Army logistics data inputs and reporting, aligned with the Performance Work Statement standards.

Target salary range: $85,000-$115,000
