Essential Functions

About the Role - We are seeking a results-driven IT Manager to support strategic planning within the SPMO and D&T Capabilities organization focusing on workforce analytics and headcount management. This role requires a strong analytical background, ability to develop and execute strategic D&T workforce initiatives, and a proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Serve as the strategic lead for the D&T DRIVE Workforce Pod, coordinating analytics and headcount planning to support the program's long-term objectives in coordination with HR.
  • Own the end-to-end D&T headcount management process, from tracking and reconciliation to ensuring full compliance with the budgeted targets for all employee and leadership levels, including Officers and Directors as established with Finance.
  • Lead and guide the team in defining and executing strategies focusing on developing workforce capabilities and analytics in alignment with HR, ensuring alignment with business objectives and organizational goals. Focus on optimizing processes and systems to drive long-term success.
  • Manage daily operations, track progress, and address any issues that arise. Proactively identify potential roadblocks and provide solutions that keep projects on track and within scope.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with team members, executive leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Manage strict confidentiality of sensitive data, ensuring that all information remains internal and is not shared with unauthorized external parties.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to systems and applications to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine workflows, systems, and team performance to drive operational efficiencies and enhance product delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and adaptability

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience working across organizations including Human Resources and Finance to drive strategic outcomes.
  • Strong financial acumen with direct experience in budget management, headcount forecasting, and financial reconciliation within a large organization.
  • Strong grasp of portfolio management in Data & Technology organization, enterprise-level systems, applications, and infrastructure with the ability to analyze complex technical environments and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to create and implement long-term strategic plans, with a focus on aligning technical capabilities with business goals and objectives.
  • Proven track record of managing and mentoring cross-functional teams, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and related methodologies, infrastructure at a global scale, and working with large networks/suppliers.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting feasibility studies and analyzing technical systems to propose solutions that balance technical challenges with business requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track project progress, manage timelines, and ensure that objectives are met within budget.
  • Background in planning and implementing large-scale technical projects

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, math or directly related quantitative degree or related field.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years systems development experience which includes programming. Skill in one or more programming languages. If position is in mainframe environment, complex systems experience on IBM operating systems or microprocessors required. Experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects. IMS experience. If position is in client/server environment, systems development experience to include distributed systems is required. Experience in client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development or case tools. Experience in the technical design and development of major client/server projects.

Domicile Information

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need. Preference is for employee to be hybrid in Memphis TN or Dallas TX, or another corporate FedEx office.
