Job Description
Position Description The Addiction Science Team at University of Missouri- St. Louis, Missouri Institute of Mental Health (UMSL-MIMH) conducts grant implementation and evaluation services for several federally and state-funded research and service grants focused on substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts across Missouri. The Addiction Science Team focuses on supporting individuals who use drugs and our communities through program design, implementation, research, evaluation, capacity-building and training. We envision a Missouri where people who use drugs are healthy and supported within their communities through rapid access to meaningful, high-quality services and supports, the ability to easily navigate a variety of paths to wellness, and freedom from preventable illness and death. We are currently looking for a dedicated, flexible, knowledgeable, and compassionate individual to help us assemble, pack, ship, and track naloxone, drug checking strips, and other critical supplies to support people who use drugs across Missouri. Duties and Responsibilities * Perform warehouse and inventory operations to support statewide supply distribution under the direction of the Director of Supply Distribution and Senior Operations and Logistics Lead. * Receive, stock, pack, and assemble supplies into complex kits (e.g., naloxone, drug checking supplies, wound care, withdrawal care) according to standardized packing lists and quality control guidelines * Prepare shipments for carrier pickup (e.g., UPS) and community-based distribution via local events. * Organize, track, and rearrange onsite supply inventory to ensure efficient operations. * Prepare and fulfill orders for local organizations and statewide partners, including coordinating shipment schedules and ensuring timely delivery. * Attend occasional distribution events or local deliveries to transport and distribute supplies as needed; statewide travel may be required. * Manage inventory organization within multiple storage areas across multiple buildings, including shelving, bin systems, and palletized. * Support documentation and monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting related to inventory levels, distribution activity, and supply deployment. * Coordinate with internal teams to support distribution needs, including communication related to supply availability, restocking timelines, and shipment status. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and working environments in compliance with organizational policies and norms. * Perform other warehouse, logistics, or inventory-related duties as assigned. * Provide as-needed support to team members working on substance use and addiction training curricula and communications to partner organizations. * Attend all required Addiction Science team events, including but not limited to internal teamwide meetings, monthly research presentations, and operational project meetings. * Demonstrate a high level of organization and dependability. Funding expectations: This position is currently funded through a combination of grant funding through the State of Missouri. Current grant funding is annual with expectations for renewals. Shift
40 hours/week. In-person work is required at least Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Friday work is often done remotely, but in-person work may be required, especially during busy periods.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
* Three years' experience * Ability to frequently lift and move boxes weighing up to 57 lbs. * Ability to use pallet jack with minimal training. * Possess at least a moderate understanding of substance use disorder--particularly opioid use disorder-- and the role of evidence- based strategies in combating the overdose crisis. * Possess a high level of curiosity, humility, organization, flexibility, and self-direction. * Able to navigate Zoom Video Conference systems and Microsoft Outlook Calendar. * Have a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance. * Be skilled in Microsoft Office and Web-based interface to independently manage data tracking through Excel spreadsheets
Anticipated Hiring Range
