PCG is seeking a Learning Experience Specialist to join our Strategic Development team in Lenexa, KS at our corporate headquarters. This role is primarily focused on learning system administration and support (approximately 70%), with secondary responsibility for instructional design and content development (approximately 30%).


In this role, you will serve as the primary system owner and administrator for our Learning Management System, ensuring reliable system performance, accurate learning data, and a positive user experience. You will provide first-line system support, manage configuration and reporting, and partner with internal teams and vendors to optimize learning technologies across our learning ecosystem.


In addition to system ownership, you will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to design and maintain effective learning solutions that support performance, compliance, and professional growth. Responsibilities & Functions

This position will contribute to the overall success of our learning and development initiatives in both strategic and supportive ways. The role requires collaboration with all levels - from individual contributors to top leadership - to ensure a positive experience for learners and to provide best-in-class issue management and resolution. As a part of our team, you will work both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Learning Systems Administration & Support (Primary Focus)



  • Act as the primary system administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS)-responsible for configuration, maintenance, course setup, and ongoing optimization.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees with LMS questions or issues, providing hands-on troubleshooting and user education.
  • Manage LMS users, permissions, enrollments, completions, transcripts, and learning records to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Support system testing, feature releases, and enhancements; document processes and maintain administrative SOPs.
  • Partner with IT, HR, and external vendors to support system integrations and resolve technical issues.
  • Build, maintain, and analyze reports and dashboards to support compliance, visibility, and continuous improvement.


Learning Design (Secondary Focus)



  • Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to develop both digital and in-person training experiences.
  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to translate learning needs into effective, scalable solutions withing the learning ecosystem.
  • Design or update learning assets such as eLearning modules, storyboards, facilitator guides, and job aids as needed.
  • Evaluate learning content and learner feedback to ensure alignment with organizational goals and system delivery standards.


Collaboration & Innovation



  • Work closely with the Strategic Development team to drive a unified learning experience strategy.
  • Explore new tools and approaches that enhance learning system usability, reporting, and engagement.
  • Support project management efforts using agile and iterative development approaches.


Basic Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 2+ years of learning systems administration; Cornerstone preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in instructional design or L&D.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring, maintaining, and supporting an LMS, including troubleshooting user issues and managing learning data.
  • Ability to manage the full learning lifecycle-from needs analysis and design to development, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and how they translate into system-delivered learning experiences.
  • Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and use insights to improve learning effectiveness and system performance.
  • High level of technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and support new systems, tools, and integrations.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills: able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively while also owning tasks and seeing them through to completion.
  • Skilled in designing for a variety of formats and mediums, including SCORM-compliant eLearning, video, web, and print-based materials.
  • Technologically proficient with a strong working knowledge of learning technologies and business tools, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), eLearning development tools, video/audio editing software, web conferencing tools, web development platforms, design software, and Microsoft Office applications.


Preferred Requirements:

  • Cornerstone LMS experience (or equivalent system)
  • Articulate 360 experience (or equivalent authoring software)
  • Techsmith product (Camtasia, Snagit) experience
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) experience
  • Construction industry experience a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish fluency a plus
