The Team Lead, Integration Engineering - HDE oversees the successful delivery of Health Data Exchange (HDE) onboarding and integration projects while providing daytoday leadership to a team of Integration Engineers. This role blends technical expertise, project leadership, and people leadership to ensure smooth onboarding, high-quality integrations, and an exceptional customer experience.

You will guide the team through complex technical implementations, support their professional growth, and roll up your sleeves to directly manage highpriority projects when needed. This role is central to driving operational excellence, maintaining throughput across the onboarding pipeline, and enabling successful customer golives.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development



  • Lead, coach, and mentor Integration Engineers supporting HDE onboarding initiatives.
  • Provide daytoday guidance on project prioritization, technical challenges, customer communication, and documentation standards.
  • Support workload balancing, project assignment, and team capacity planning.
  • Foster a culture of organization, communication excellence, and high performance in a dynamic, fastpaced environment.



Project & Technical Execution



  • Directly oversee complex or highpriority hospital integrations to the HDE interoperability platform.
  • Ensure consistent execution of technical build, testing, configuration, and troubleshooting tasks, including HL7 and HDE platform integrations.
  • Support team members in managing operational, workflow, and technical components of multiple simultaneous implementations.
  • Lead or support recurring client status meetings, ensuring clarity on scope, deliverables, and technical requirements.



Customer & CrossFunctional Collaboration



  • Act as an escalation point to ensure customers feel supported, heard, and successful throughout onboarding.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to align on project scope, expectations, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure project decisions, updates, and specifications are welldocumented across Salesforce, TaskRay, Outlook, SharePoint, and other internal systems.



Operational Excellence



  • Monitor onboarding throughput, risks, and bottlenecks; drive improvements in process efficiency and implementation consistency.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation practices across all integrations and customer interactions.
  • Contribute to refining onboarding methodologies and technical standards for HDE integrations.



Required Skills & Experience



  • Proven experience integrating and managing technical projects, ideally in healthcare or health data interoperability.
  • Strong understanding of HL7, health data exchange workflows, interoperability systems, and systems integration methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people while also contributing as a hands-on technical resource when needed.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and clientfacing skills; ability to drive engagement and maintain momentum through complex integration lifecycles.
  • High proficiency with Office365 tools including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience coordinating and documenting project activities across Salesforce and TaskRay (or similar systems).
