We are looking for a Private Provider Permit Coordinator to support our growing PPI team.



Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities (but not limited to) the following:

    Manage the full permit lifecycle: Review, prepare, and submit permit applications (building, trade etc.) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance at local, state, and federal levels
  • Track application progress: Maintain up-to-date permit logs, fees, renewal deadlines, packages, inspections, and action items
  • Serve as liaison: Act as the main contact between project teams (project managers, architects, contractors) and regulatory agencies to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and facilitate approvals
  • Interpret regulations and codes: Analyze zoning laws, building codes, and ordinances to inform project constraints and ensure submissions meet all legal requirements
  • Optimize permitting practices: Develop improved processes, maintain relationships with agency staff, and monitor policy/regulatory updates for continuous efficiency enhancements


Qualifications

Education, experience, licensure, and skills

  • 1-5 years in permit coordination, construction administration, or regulatory compliance. Municipal-level experience is a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, design documents, and permitting software/tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with internal teams, inspectors, contractors, agency staff, and the public
  • Capacity to maintain detailed documentation, manage multiple deadlines, data entry, invoice tracking, and ensuring workflow efficiency
  • Ability to spot errors and omissions in applications and documentation before submission.
  • Professional demeanor to field inquiries, assist applicants, and support project teams with clear guidance
  • Effective collaboration and relationship-building across agencies and disciplines
  • Experience with permit and project tracking tools such as SFDC, Microsoft Office Suite, in-house databases, and e-permitting platforms
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws, building processes, and permitting industry standards
  • Must pass mandatory DMV check
