Career Level:P2 Primary Purpose: Provides technical support and engineering guidance for the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of the natural gas distribution pipeline network. Responsibilities include materials selection, network condition assessment, system planning, and hydraulic modeling. Supports evaluation of technical system impacts and provides procedural and operational guidance to field personnel. Develops and maintains operating procedures for both planned and unplanned activities affecting the gas distribution system. Frequently partners with field construction and maintenance teams to ensure work is performed safely and in full compliance with applicable federal and state codes, standards, and regulations. PHMSA DOT: This position adheres to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as required by 49 CFR Part 40, 199, and 382, respectively. Applicants must meet all DOT requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
