Responsibilities:

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced Benefits Consultant to support the financial, analytical, and operational administration of our employee benefit programs. This is an on-site role based in Albuquerque, NM.

This position focuses on the analysis, accuracy, and administration of Health & Welfare plans, Qualified Retirement Plans (Pension, 403(b), 401(a), 401(k)), and NonQualified Retirement Plans (457(b), 457(f), NQDA).

This is not a systemconfiguration role, but rather an analysisfocused position supporting data accuracy, audits, and financial and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

Benefit Plan Administration

  • Support daily operations for employee benefit plans for employees, retirees, and beneficiaries.

  • Ensure accurate benefit determinations and adherence to internal controls.

  • Maintain and update plan documents, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.

Communications

  • Develop and coordinate benefits communications related to plan provisions, annual changes, and required notices.

  • Ensure timely and accurate information is shared with employees, leaders, and vendors.

Policies, Procedures & Compliance

  • Support the development and maintenance of administrative procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Assist with compliance activities related to ERISA, IRS, DOL, and other regulations.

  • Provide documentation and data for audits, Form 5500 filings, and other compliance needs.

Financial & Accounting Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis, reconciliations, and tracking to ensure the integrity of benefitsrelated financial records.

  • Ensure plan contributions, asset transfers, and transactions are accurate and timely.

  • Prepare internal financial reports for trustees, fiduciaries, and leadership.

Data Systems & Technical Support (AnalysisFocused)

  • Validate benefits data across internal systems and support reporting activity.

  • Assist with testing related to benefit updates such as Open Enrollment.

  • Provide business requirements or feedback to HRIS/IT teams-without owning configuration work.

  • Support data audits, file transmissions, and report validation across benefits platforms.

Project Management

  • Lead or support benefitrelated projects including scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables.

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within defined parameters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Human Resources.

  • 5+ years of experience in benefits, and or accounting/audit or and/or pension plan compliance.

  • Proficiency in HRIS, Access database, Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint preferred.

  • Workday experience preferred
