We are seekingsomeone who is hardworking andpassionate about solving the climate problem. In this roleyou'llbe expected toleverageyour thoroughelectrical, mechanical, and softwareengineering understanding, as well as knowledge of the globalhome energymarket toguide our Home Charging andPowersharehardware and software product roadmap. This role requirescollaboration internally across engineering and business operations, as well as externally with partners and end customers,to ensure the successful development and sustained improvement of our products.


What You'll Do
  • Be the voice of the customer, installer, support agent throughout product development and ensure that our product roadmap is deliveringmaximumuser value

  • Write product requirements from first principles to guide engineering development and ensurecustomer delight, simplicity, and market capture

  • Work with engineering through technical design decisions and tradeoffs, ensuring the customer and installer requirements are met

  • Conduct fleet, market, and competitor analysis, as well as end user interviews, tofosterdata driven, customer centric product decision making

  • Define key success metrics for products andestablishanalytics to track adoption and surface issues

  • Create effective and engaging product contentsuch as technical white papers, salesmaterialsand web content, educating our different customer types on product value propositions, product functionality,reliabilityand competitive edge

  • Communicate clearly to senior leadership on key timeline risks andcomplexproduct tradeoffs, enabling teams to make the right decisions quickly

  • Interfacewith policy and regulatory teams tolimit onerous requirementsonproductdesignand Tesla's ability to scalenew programs


What You'll Bring
  • Degree inEngineering or equivalent experience

  • Strong knowledge of globalenergymarkets and experience working directly withengineering,sales,andbusiness development teams

  • Direct experience withEV charging, V2X, energy storage,electrical concepts, and home construction

  • Experience and comfort working with large datasets and ability to present complex problems and solutions simply and clearly to an executive audience drive decision making

  • A relentless drive to make things happen, without accepting the status quo

  • Ability tooperateindependently, bringing solutions and prioritization to complex problems

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment

    Expected Compensation
    $112,000 - $204,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
