Instructor

Opportunity Overview:

Instructor position based in Miami, FL. This is a 11-month contract assignment (W-2) You will report to the onsite Manager.

Your Day-to-Day:

Content Creation:

• Gather information and course elements from members, internal departments, SMEs (subject matter experts), research institutions, and others
• Develop and design learning material and educational content, which can be delivered via eLearning platforms
• Utilize knowledge of LMS capabilities to recommend delivery strategies that yield a rich, meaningful, and dynamic end-user experience
• o Work with Instructional Designers, Graphic Designers, and programmers to build exciting eLearning content
• o Manage eLearning content both internally and from vendors to ensure it is compatible with the LMS
• Support the deployment of learning programs including uploading and updating courseware and curricula, training assignments, learner notification text and rules in LMS

Data:

• Pull and publish metrics and/or reports from the tools leveraged, and/or develop custom reports to assist with planning and managing the company's training and development initiatives
• Facilitates data-driven decision-making to determine classroom instructional needs (Surveys, focus groups, Communities of Practice)

Collaboration:

• Work with staff to develop technology solutions for instructional delivery and assessments
• Coach FPLSO team members on the use of digital tools to enhance engagement at high levels of cognition

Support:

• Help with the trouble-shooting of technology issues as related to instructional delivery.
• Lend expertise in the technical aspects of eLearning to internal team members.

Facilitation

• Coordinate and conduct Live learning using various tools (WebEx, Teams, etc.)
• Ensure that participants are registered for Education and Training events and perform
• Record live sessions and upload recordings into appropriate sources (Degreed, Stream, SharePoint, Teams, and LMS)

Continuous development:

• Staying current with new technologies and their potential applications
• Attend national, state and local conferences to stay connected with next best practices

Who You Are:

* 5+ years of experience in coaching, teaching, consulting, and organizational change

* Knowledge of adult learning techniques and instructional design concepts for computer- based training

* Must have 3-5 years of knowledge and use of multiple technologies. These include Camtasia, Udemy, Degreed, MS Streams, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Vyond Studio, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, Audacity, and Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

* 3+ years of experience presenting computer-based training to a diverse audience

* Working knowledge of a variety of hardware, software, operating systems, including mobile devices

* Must have the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to management and organizational and business demands

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $40.00/hr. to $45.00/hr.
