Job Title: Quality Engineer
Pay: $56.00 - $63.00/hr
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Location: Greensboro, NC
Shift: 1st (8:00am - 4:30pm)

Job Summary:
The Work Package SNQ - Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting supplier quality activities to ensure APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) deliverables meet required standards prior to Project Gate Deliverable dates. This role involves conducting supplier follow-up visits, performing audits, and maintaining routine communication with stakeholders to support project timing and quality objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
* Conduct follow-up supplier visits when APQP deliverables do not meet requirements to obtain approvals prior to Project Gate Deliverable dates.
* Communicate on a routine basis (daily and/or weekly) with Automotive Group Managers, SNQ Engineers, and Surface Treatment Specialists regarding assignment progress, APQP deliverables, PPAP status, and any roadblocks impacting project timing.
* Perform process audits at supplier locations.
* Conduct surface treatment audit follow-ups as required.
* Perform quality assurance activities at supplier sites to ensure raw materials, services, manufactured goods, and packaging materials meet or exceed requirements.
* Verify and validate that suppliers and subcontractors have received and implemented engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
* Review and analyze corrective action reports to reduce or eliminate defects.
* Perform deviation investigations related to supplier quality issues as needed.
* Determine supplier approval status and authorize suppliers to begin shipping parts to plants.
* Execute assignments individually as ordered in accordance with agreed order-handling processes and schedules.

Required Qualifications:
* 2-5 years of relevant professional experience.
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience.
* Practical working knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience.
* Ability to work independently with general supervision.
* Ability to address difficult but typically non-complex problems.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
* Willingness to travel up to 60%
