POSITION PURPOSE: The Ultimate Mission Ready to be the financial wizard behind the curtain? We're looking for a top-tier systems guru and strategic thinker to take the reins of our entire Real Estate Lending system ecosystem. You'll be the primary System Administrator and lead Project Manager for enterprise-level initiatives, ensuring our mortgage operations are not just running, but thriving. Your mission: Maximize profitability by expertly analyzing the mortgage pipeline, guaranteeing best execution with investors, and maintaining the flawless integrity of our lending technology. Location: must be able to commute and work in Auburn Hills, MI WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: The Core Functions of Secondary Market & Profit Pipeline Management
- Play the Market: Become a pipeline analysis master, strategically committing loans with investors (FNMA, FHLBI, or Portfolio) at the exact right moment.
- The Best Execution MVP: Execute the perfect mix of mandatory delivery, best efforts, and loan-level pricing to ensure we achieve maximum profitability on every deal.
- Rate Radar: Constantly monitor competitor rates to sharpen GCU's market edge and provide key insights for setting portfolio pricing.
- Troubleshooting Titan: Lead the management of our "Held for Sale" pipeline, instantly resolving any delivery snags with loan custodians and investors.
- Adapt & Refine: Expertly manage loan re-pricing and change requests within the loan origination system.
Enterprise Project & Product Leadership
- Launch Command: Be the go-to Project Manager for all new real estate lending initiatives and major, enterprise-level system implementations.
- System Architect: Systematically implement new mortgage and home equity products, services, and seamlessly integrate new vendor interfaces.
- Cross-Functional Connector: Act as the key liaison with the Marketing Department, collaborating on promotional campaigns and sales team events.
- Knowledge Curator: Develop and meticulously maintain all product and procedure manuals for the Real Estate Lending Department.
System Administration & Data Integrity
- Tech Maestro: Serve as the lead administrator for critical mortgage systems, including Insellerate and the Tandem vendor management system.
- Cohesion Commander: Guarantee that all mortgage systems and reporting platforms (FNMA, FHLBI) remain perfectly cohesive and functionally accurate.
- Data Whisperer: Generate powerful, complex management reports to track the pipeline, loan sales performance, and the entire mortgage/Home Equity portfolio.
- Financial Gatekeeper: Maintain precise balance between accounting and the general ledger for Held for Sale (HFS) and Held for Investment (HFI) accounts.
- Quality Control Pro: Conduct regular audits of employee work systems and electronic files to ensure impeccable data quality across the board.
Compliance & External Relations
- Regulatory Expert: Ensure all lending activities and system configurations adhere strictly to federal and state regulations, including BSA and OFAC.
- Vendor Vetting Guru: Own the management of Real Estate Lending vendors, collecting due diligence documentation and assisting with all regular reviews.
- Relationship Builder: Maintain professional and effective relationships with members, attorneys, and insurance agents to successfully resolve complex account issues.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? The Qualifications EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, demonstrated experience.
- Must be able to become and remain 100% bonded.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- A deep, thorough knowledge of Credit Union mortgage products and all applicable policies.
- Essential understanding of government regulations (FNMA, FHLBI) and legal requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of BSA Specific Requirements: Member Identification Program, Identity Theft Red Flags, and Privacy Policy.
- Critical: Report any identified suspicious activity to your Manager or the BSA Manager and complete all assigned training.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- A minimum of Two years of direct experience in mortgage secondary marketing or lending operations.
- Proven, hands-on experience in both Project Management and System Administration.
- Real Estate industry experience is a must-have.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Advanced, exceptional project management and organizational abilities.
- Strong technical aptitude for system administration and PC-based business equipment.
- Solid communication skills, comfortable interacting with executive management and external partners.
- Excellent mathematical ability to accurately compute discount, interest, profit/loss, and ratios.
