Position SummaryThe Division of Critical Care at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a Pediatric Intensivist to join the clinical team. Salary and track will be commensurate with training and experience. This full-time position offers a competitive salary, and a rich retirement benefit program. The position includes patient care responsibilities in a state of the art, 20 bed multi-disciplinary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Other duties include teaching residents and medical students, a pediatric sedation service, and pediatric/neonatal ECMO. The Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Division have a long tradition of providing outstanding, comprehensive care to the children of New Mexico. Situated along the beautiful Sandia Mountains and traversed by the Rio Grande, Albuquerque is New Mexico's largest city, with a growing population in the greater metropolitan area now exceeding 900,000. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Able to obtain medical licensure(s) in the state of New Mexico. Board certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care by time of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Experience and interest in quality improvement, research and teaching. Experience with ECMO. Experience with care of the pediatric surgical and trauma patient.
