Koch Equity "KED" is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to develop a trusted preferred partnership with the business. In this role, you will create value for the organization as the primary business partner for all finance, accounting and financial reporting matters. The position will interact with the President, deal team members, and the Finance Director to ensure investments are appropriately reported in line with underlying economic performance.

Our Team

We serve as a primary business partner to KED providing support with executing and reporting investment transactions, determining the proper economic accounting treatment, as well as preparing monthly/quarterly/ad-hoc deliverables and analysis for management. The team actively collaborates with various other supporting capabilities such as treasury, investment accounting, legal, and tax daily.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor and perform month-end closing activities, including but not limited to (forecasting, forecast to actual analysis and preparing business reports), ensuring compliance with company policies and meeting closing deadlines
  • Prepare quarterly financial reporting packages to President and Finance Director
  • Meet with KED president and Finance Director on a monthly basis to discuss the financial reporting results
  • Facilitate onboarding of new investments into portfolio
  • Provide ad hoc information and analysis to other departments (business finance, treasury, risk, tax, consolidated accounting group, etc.)
  • Drive economic and critical thinking capability within the financial reporting function
  • Aid in researching economic reporting of new investment strategies, in collaboration with Business leaders
  • Seek and share knowledge, identify opportunities for improvements, challenge the status quo, propose solutions
  • Advance the Principle-Based Management culture within the team by applying and reinforcing the company's Guiding Principles

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in an accounting or financial reporting/analysis or investment operations role
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel (Ex: spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, graphs, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation)
  • Experience conducting financial forecasting and reporting
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial results and insights to leadership
  • Detail oriented, with an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business-related field
  • A certification in any of the following: CGMA or CMA or CPA
  • Experience using OneStream to streamline financial processes such as planning, budgeting, forecasting and consolidation
  • Previous Investment financial reporting and/or analysis experience
  • Experience using business analysis and data visualization tools (i.e. PowerBI, Alteryx, SQL, etc.)
  • Experience analyzing investment income streams (equity method investments, distributions, interest, dividends, mark-to-market or valuation-driven income)
