| Job Summary |
The Parking and Transportation Manager provides management and supervision of the all parking operations including fiscal management, planning, staff supervision, and alternative transportation. The Parking & Transportation Manager provides overall supervision of the UT Dallas Parking Office. Supervise the day-to-day operations which include first-line customer contact, citation payment processing, appeals processing, billing, collections, invoicing and reports. Additionally, the Parking and Transportation Manager oversees daily operations to assure efficient customer service; assures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and codes; evaluates customer and client eligibility and requirements. Handles monthly financial reconciliation, accounts payable, human resources, and inventory for department. |
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Associate's degree.
- Two (2) years of related work experience.
- 1 year of management/supervisory experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.

| Preferred Education and Experience |
Previous higher education work experience preferred. Completed Bachelors, Masters, or other advanced degree. Two years of management experience, and prior experience in parking and transportation industry strongly preferred. |

| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Reports directly to Assistant Director.
- Manages all functions of the Parking and Transportation Office. Position provides overall supervision of the UT Dallas Parking Office, including first-line customer contact, citation payment processing, appeals processing, billing, collections, invoicing and reports.
- Provides management and supervision of day-to-day parking operations including fiscal management, planning, staff supervision, and alternative transportation. Responsible for all student workers duties including cashiering and money handling, as well as parking permit control and distribution at the Parking Office.
- Oversees daily operations to assure efficient customer service; assures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and codes; evaluates customer and client eligibility and requirements. Review and management of parking enforcement policies and jurisdiction.
- Responsible for creating and posting new full time and part-time positions on UTD Jobs Website. Also responsible for completing all required hiring paperwork, scheduling, and attending interviews as a part of the search committee. Supervises five full time employees, three Parking Specialists and two Parking Assistants, and several student workers.
- Assisting with project and capital planning for parking reconfiguration and transportation initiatives.
- Oversee Payroll Deduction and Reserved parking permit sales, along with other elevated projects that extend beyond day-to-day sales.
- Approves and reconciles financial journals for inter-office financial transactions for special events and other purchases made via cost center.
- Manages accounts payable for all purchases through our department cost centers. Also manages invoicing to third party vendors and ensuring payment is made. Oversee the monthly reconciliation of parking cost centers.
- Oversee parking lot maintenance, and submitting work orders, and conducts and trains staff on maintenance of parking facilities.
- Social media manager for all Parking & Transportation Twitter and Facebook, along with ListServ email groups.
- Represent UT Dallas Parking & Transportation at University events.
- Manage construction projects related to parking & transportation on campus, including bids, contracts, payment, supervision, and planning.
- Prepare and report on all Parking & Transportation related metrics and statistics, including raw data and graphs for presentation.

| Physical Demands and Working Conditions |
Primarily an office position, but field work is also required, as needed. Exposure to weather, including extreme cold, extreme heat, wet and/or humid conditions. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs for short periods of time. |

| Additional Information |
If driving university vehicles, must have valid Texas driver's license and three years of documented, licensed driving experience and must complete vehicle safety training.
A remote work schedule is not available for this position. Position will work onsite and in person. |
