**What You'll Do:**

* Design and implement robust monitoring, automation, configuration management, and reporting solutions to foster a highly efficient, self-managing infrastructure environment.

* Architect, deploy, configure, manage, and maintain internal server, virtualization, networking, storage, and security systems.

* Uphold stringent change management processes, lead incident response, and execute rigorous testing methodologies for all system and software modifications. This includes proactive issue anticipation, mitigation, identification, response, troubleshooting, and resolution. * Document, address, and resolve all customer incidents, problems, and requests with precision and timeliness.

* Conduct regular system maintenance, including operating system and application patching, driver updates, and continuous performance monitoring.

* Develop comprehensive documentation for both new and existing systems. * Deliver exceptional customer service by actively understanding and addressing needs and expectations through effective communication and collaborative efforts. * Contribute to the growth of the team by mentoring junior members.

* Develop and execute project plans, conduct thorough risk assessments, and establish robust contingency plans, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and response.

* Define and document best practices and support procedures to ensure operational excellence.

* Provide essential after-hours support for infrastructure emergencies and participate in occasional weekend maintenance activities.

* Assist in the evaluation, recommendation, and negotiation processes for hardware and software vendors.

* Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and evidence.

* Engage with staff at a technical level, offering expert guidance and support as required.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing monitoring, automation, and configuration management solutions for complex infrastructure environments.

* Proficiency in the design, installation, configuration, management, and maintenance of server, virtualization, networking, storage, and firewall technologies.

* Solid understanding and practical application of change management processes, incident response protocols, and rigorous testing methodologies for system and software modifications.

* Experience performing regular system maintenance, including operating system and application patching, driver updates, and continuous performance monitoring.

* Proven ability to develop clear, comprehensive technical documentation for new and existing systems.

* Exceptional customer service skills, emphasizing effective communication, active listening, and collaborative problem-solving.

* Experience in developing and implementing project plans, conducting risk assessments, and creating robust contingency plans (e.g., disaster recovery, business continuity).

* Capability to define and document best practices and support procedures to ensure operational excellence.

* Willingness and ability to provide after-hours support for infrastructure emergencies and participate in occasional weekend maintenance.

* Experience assisting with hardware and software vendor evaluation, recommendation, and negotiation processes.

* Ability to support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and evidence.

* Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at various technical levels.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $22 to $25. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
