Clinical Nurse II- Endocrinology JOB LOCATION Duke Medicine Specialties South Durham, 234 Crooked Creek Pkwy, Durham, NC 27713 JOB SUMMARY The Clinical Nurse II provides professional nursing care in a busy outpatient endocrinology clinic in accordance with Duke Health policies and standards of practice. This role is a key member of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for assessing patients, administering treatments, managing medications, and coordinating care for individuals with complex acute and chronic endocrine conditions. In addition to endocrinology, this position supports the broader multispecialty clinic, including Allergy, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Pulmonary, and Rheumatology, providing exposure to diverse specialty populations and expanding clinical expertise. A strong focus of this position is patient education and chronic disease management. The Clinical Nurse II helps patients understand their diagnoses, treatment plans, and medications, while supporting self-management of conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal and pituitary diseases, and other hormone-related conditions. This role also serves as a clinical leader within the practice, contributing to operational improvements and quality initiatives that enhance patient care and clinic efficiency while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
