Outpatient Pharmacy Manager Specialty Pharmacy Full Time 87953BR Job Summary Involves all aspects of the medication use process, including procurement, prescribing, compounding, dispensing, storage of medications, administration and monitoring. Partners with physicians and other clinicians to provide treatments and advice to patients, records patient history relating to medication use and ensure the safe and secure storage of medications and related supplies. Advises physicians in determining the best possible treatments for specific diseases, stays current on pharmacy regulations, treatments and developments in research and design. Pharmacists are the experts on drug therapy and the primary health professionals who optimize use of medication for the benefit of the patients. Meets educational needs of patients, healthcare team, students and residents. Ensures adherence to regulatory and fiscal requirements. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $169,400 - $290,400 (Annual Rate). These services include, but are not limited to drug procurement, storage, and security; safe accurate and timely preparation and distribution of drugs; clinical pharmacy services for patients; development of drug use policies within the UCSF Health System; drug information services for clinicians and patients; and participation in technology assessment and quality assurance programs. The Department encompasses the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, an academic unit within the School of Pharmacy, which has primary responsibility for teaching professional courses in the Pharm.D. curriculum, research, and public service. The Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Department of Pharmaceutical Services share its philosophy of advancing pharmacy practice. Required Qualifications
