Lead Low Voltage Cable Technician - Structured Cabling Columbia, South Carolina Join Next Level Technician as a Lead Low Voltage Cable Technician in Columbia, SC! Responsibilities: Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable Test installed cable using appropriate testing equipment Punch down voice and data jacks Install and terminate racks, cable trays, patch panels, cabinets, MDF/IDF, workstation outlets, firestopping, etc. Work safely on ladders and lifts (comfortable with heights) Read and interpret blueprints and general system layouts Lead and direct technicians on daily tasks, ensuring proper installation methods Train junior technicians on termination, testing, and structured cabling standards Communicate with project managers and customers regarding progress and site conditions Ensure jobsite organization, quality assurance, and adherence to project timelines Requirements: 2+ years of commercial or industrial low?voltage experience Previous lead or senior technician experience strongly preferred Ability to guide small teams (2-5 technicians) on structured cabling installations BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus Basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi?vis vest, steel?toe boots) Working knowledge of telecom and data networks Strong communication skills and ability to represent NLT professionally Must be comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and heights Why Work with Next Level Technician in Columbia, South Carolina?
