Job Description (General Summary)
Our Security and Access Team is seeking an experienced Security Engineer who will design, implement and maintain Cyber Security and Information Security systems and solutions to support our company's initiatives, policies and standards. Responsibilities:
* In collaboration with architects, design and implement various global securiity solutions supporting programs such as endpoint detection and response (EDR), security awareness training (SAT), data loss prevention (DLP) and vulnerability management (VM) . Solutions must:
o Align with architectural standards and business requirements
o Follow industry-recognized security and compliance standards
o Be built with lifecycles in mind, including procurement, deployment, health monitoring and usage telemetry, patching and updating, and eventual migration and retirement.
o Be properly documented to facilitate the full transition of solutions to operations teams, ensuring they are equipped to manage them effectively
* Provide advanced support to system admins to troubleshoot security problems or investigate events.
* Align with team architects, business analysts, and system admins to ensure holistic thinking in the planning and design of initiatives. Balance technical decisions with their business impact; clear understanding and articulation of business value associated with tasks.
* Maintain effective communication with business-users, project/program managers and team members around design decisions, and implementation statuses and timelines.
* Work with various IT architecture, security and infrastructure teams to provide identity and access expertise in the design and delivery of systems.
* Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving efficiency and protecting against threats.
* Participate in the Information Security Incident Response Team, including a paid 24x7 on-call rotation once a month.
* Mentor coworkers to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Requirements:
* A bachelor's or master's degree in information security, information systems or a related field; or 5 years of related work experience.
* Minimum of 3 years of recent, relevant experience as a systems engineer, building, configuring and implementing Information Security or Cyber Security solutions.
* Solid understanding of Cyber Security standards and solutions like Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, and Splunk.
* Experience with Microsoft PowerShell or similar programming tools to automate tasks.
* Experience in creating detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
* Knowledge of current identity-related threats and cyber-attack trends
* Self-managed; Able to work well both independently and in a global team environment.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis.
* Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers both at a technical and business level.
* Available for occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
* Available for occasional travel as needed.
* Must be willing and able to travel to the office as needed to participate in team seminars, workshops or planning sessions.
* At least one hiring interview in-person, and Initial on-boarding must be in-person.
