The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time tenure track Investigator at the rank of Assistant Professor. The department boasts a large faculty body, with research interests spanning a wide array of disciplines, including biochemistry, epigenetics, metabolism, and statistical genetics/computational biology.

The Department is particularly interested in candidates whose research expertise aligns with one or more of the following areas: epigenetics, metabolism, immunity, and neurobiology to complement and enhance the existing faculty expertise within the department. Successful candidates should hold a Ph.D. and/or MD with expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities building a competitive research program in the area of Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics, mentor and teach graduate students, medical students and/or post-doctoral fellows and contribute to the goals and advancement of the Department and School.

The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $135,000 to $150,000.

Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
