As a Security Officer - Full-Time Patrol Officer in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a shelter location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist with access control and badge checks, document and report concerns, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication with staff, residents, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, residents, visitors and/or staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services, and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common areas, entrances, parking areas and perimeter checks to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, including observing for unauthorized entry, verifying credentials when applicable and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare complete and accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, observations and maintenance hazards, and communicate timely updates to supervisors, client representatives and/or local authorities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
