This is an armed and driving post, supporting routine rounds, rapid response to calls for service, and detailed reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, housing and program areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access at gates, sally ports, posts, and restricted areas by verifying identification, authorizations, and screening items per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and other urgent events, and coordinate with on-site personnel and local responders as directed.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate updates to supervisors and/or location contacts following Allied Universal and site guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Have 6 Months+ Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
