Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer for a contract position located in Eagan, MN. This is a long-term contract opportunity running through December 2026. 100% remote.

Pay range: $80.00 - 85.00 per hour, w2, depending on skill and experience level.


Overview
We are hiring a Level 5 Senior Software Engineer to support a strategic modernization initiative for a large enterprise healthcare client. This role is critical to accelerating the delivery of new backend capabilities that enable enterprise-scale client migrations. This is not a formal tech lead role but requires senior-level technical depth and delivery ownership.

Responsibilities
  • Design and build complex backend services using Java
  • Implement scalable business rules and configuration logic
  • Develop event-driven components leveraging Kafka
  • Build and deploy cloud-native applications in GCP
  • Mentor junior engineers and elevate engineering standards
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across services
Required Skills
  • Advanced Java expertise
  • Deep experience within the Spring ecosystem
  • Strong GCP experience (required)
  • Experience with Kafka / event-driven architecture
  • Strong relational database experience
  • GitHub
