Fleet Operations Coordinator Location: On-site in Ashland, Missouri Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (9 months) Work Environment: 100% On-Site Compensation: * Pay Rate: $19-$26/hr (W2) Based on experience * Conversion Salary: $60,000-$70,000 * Company vehicle provided during contract and after conversion * Weekend and holiday availability required About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Fleet Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day management of a large vehicle fleet for a major client. This role blends hands-on fleet oversight, operational coordination, and client engagement. You will help manage the health, efficiency, and productivity of the fleet while maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring an exceptional support experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with vehicle rental, fleet management, or operations experience who enjoys working in the field, interacting with customers, and solving problems in real time. Key Responsibilities Daily Fleet Operations * Perform detailed pre- and postservice inspections on fleet vehicles * Manage and track variable fleet units across multiple locations * Coordinate vehicle cleaning, detailing, refueling, and general readiness * Schedule and oversee mechanical and body repairs with approved thirdparty vendors * Ensure all activities-whether internal or vendormanaged-are properly documented Client & Vendor Engagement * Serve as a primary onsite contact for client, vendors, and fleet personnel * Build and maintain strong relationships to support operational success * Provide ongoing account support and recommend costsaving or efficiencyimproving solutions * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously enhance fleet operations Required Skills & Experience * 1-2 years of experience managing rental or fleet vehicles * Understanding of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and fleet operations * 2-5 years of customer service or client/account support experience (B2B preferred) * High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred but not required) * Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Ability to drive and remain on your feet for up to 8 hours Top Skills - Must Haves * Fleet Management * Fleet Maintenance / Vehicle Rental Operations * Operations Management / Logistics * Customer Support What's in It for You * Opportunity to work with one of the most recognized leaders in fleet and operations management * Company vehicle provided during the contract and after direct hire * Growth-focused environment with long-term career potential * Hands-on operational role with visible impact on daily fleet performance * Chance to contribute to process improvement, efficiency, and customer satisfaction Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland, MO.
