Position Summary The Outpatient Clinic Assistant provides hands-on clinical support in collaboration with nursing staff to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. Performs patient intake and clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), including histories, physicals, demographics, and insurance verification. Prepares and maintains examination rooms and clinical equipment in accordance with infection control standards. Assists with patient flow by escorting patients, chaperoning sensitive examinations or procedures, and transporting laboratory specimens. Reviews patient charts for clinical completeness and accuracy. May perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and assist with sterile technical procedures as needed. Overview of Responsibilities

Physical Requirements Primary care clinic assistants must possess the physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently bend, lift, and assist patients. Key requirements include fine motor skills for operating equipment, typing, and performing clinical tasks, along with sufficient vision and hearing to assess patient needs accurately. Oral and written communications with customers requires adequate speech, vision, and hearing.
